head space design

The Mindframe project was to develop the style for an exhibition, in this case, a horror exhibition. It took on the look and feel of b-grade horror movies from the 60s and 70s and the "giallo" books published in Italy during the 20s and 30s.

The logo was created using photography, a print of the word Mindframe in Baskerville onto acetate was bent and skewed and photographed to give an organic, twisted and spooky shape, almost bleeding on the page. This was wrapped around a very bright red, like that of the stylised blood in many of the movies of the mentioned era.

The visuals accompanying, of the eyes, lips, ear and hand were not only disturbing but demonstrated each of the senses which the work exhibited was targeting.
